Islamabad: The 1st Chairman JCSC Open Tennis Championships culminated on Saturday at PTF Complex, Islamabad.
Finals of Men’s Singles and Ladies Singles categories were played on the final day of the championships. The event was jointly organized by JS Headquarters, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Tennis Federation.
Chairman JCSC Lt. General Zubair Mahmood Hayat NI (M) was the chief guest on the occasion.
The chief guest, President PTF Salim Saifullah Khan, Air vice Marshal Farooq Habib, high ranking military officers (serving & retired) from armed forced, PTF officials and a large crowd witnessed the men’s singles final.
In the Men’s singles final, top seed M. Abid was beaten by Muzammil Murtaza, who bagged his first national title in an excellent display of tennis skills. Both players displayed quality skills and pushed each other to the limits.
However, Muzammil proved too good for Abid in the end. The spectators applauded both players for the good display of tennis.
In the ladies final Mahin Aftab bagged the title after comfortably beating top seed Sara Mansoor who was not at her best. Mahin displayed excellent skills and both players played shots all over the court but Mahin came out on top in the end.
The Chairman JCSC, President PTF, Air vice Marshal and Begum Chairman JCSC distributed the shields among the players.

Muzammil Mutaza beat M. Abid: 7-5, 6-4;
Ladies Singles Final:
Mahin Aftab beat Sara Mansoor: 6-3, 6-4;
