Peshawar: The central Chairman of Quami Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Thursday has paid rich tributes to senior police officer Safwat Ghayur and other police personnel for rendering their sacrifices for the sake of maintenance of peace in Pakistan and particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Eulogizing the police sacrifices, he said that late Safwat Ghayur and other police had played a role model for the upcoming generation and their names would be written in golden words of country and KP history.
Talking to media persons on the occasion of Yum-e-Shuhada Day and six death anniversary of Safwat Ghayur at Aaqa Baba graveyard, Mr Sherpao said that police were deployed in various parts to protect and secure the lives of citizens. He maintained that KP police demonstrated very courageously for the past several years aimed to maintaining durable peace and progress in the province.
The QWP chief said that the martyrs were our national assets and without their sacrifices peace, stability and progress would not be possible. He said the sacrifices rendered by the police officers and personnel were examples for us and we should follow the footprints of the martyrs and contribute to put the country on the trick of development, peace and progress.
On the occasion other senior ministers and party leaders including KP Senior minister for irrigation and social welfare Sikandar Khan Sherpao, provincial minister for labor and mineral development Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli, KP assembly legislature Bakhtbedar Khan, Hashim Babar, QWP provincial general secretary, Tariq Ahmad Khan, provincial information secretary, Adbul Karim Tordher and office bearers of QWP youth wing and district Peshawar were also present.
