Rubaba seeks review of PMC’s new policy

QUETTA: Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi has requested Arshad Taqi, President, Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) to review the new policy of PMC framed for admission in medical colleges of the country as the new policy would deprive the students of Balochistan of their right.

In her letter addressed to President, PMC, she said that separate syllabuses were being taught to the students of federation and provinces at intermediate level while uniform test for all the students for admission in medical colleges of the country had been prescribed.

She said that Federation, Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan were having uniform syllabus while separate syllabus was being taught in other provinces of the country, hence, compiling questions from the syllabus of federation for admission in medical colleges affiliated with Pakistan Medical Council would make it difficult for the students of other provinces, including Balochistan, to attempt. Buledi requested the authorities of PMC to look into the matter and take immediate necessary action as future of Balochistan’s students was at stake.
