Saleem Mandviwalla elected as deputy chairman senate

Islamabad: Senator Saleem Mandviwalla was elected as deputy chairman of the Senate of Pakistan.

He secured 54 votes, 10 votes more than his rival Usman Kakar, who was supported by the PML-N and likeminded parties. Five members of Senate did not took part in the voting, say media reports.
