MIRPURKHAS: Women could not protect themselves till they do not know about their basic rights of protection. Every woman should know and aware about their rights properly.
These views and remarks expressed by the participants of seminar organized by the Women Development Department (WDD) Mirpurkhas in collaboration with Civil Society Support Program (CSSP) at its office here on Tuesday.
The participants urged the common women and civil society to play their individual role to aware the women folk about their rights of protection, livelihood and working in the society besides being aware about their basic rights and responsibilities.
They apprised that Sindh Commission on Status of the Women (SCSW) was already working for their betterment and upliftment by empowering them at every level. Women are facing domestic violence, harassment at workplace and various threats at other places.
