ISLAMABAD: The Senate was informed on Thursday that Rs 10 billion have been released by the Federal Government for rehabilitation of the Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) of FATA during the last fiscal year.
Answering a question during the questions hour, Minister for States and Frontier Region Abdul Qadir Baloch informed the House that the amount has been transferred to Temporarily Displaced Persons Secretariat for execution of prominent reconstruction projects.
He said a total of fifteen billion rupees were allocated for this purpose during the last year. Replaying to a question, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Pakistan Railways has assembled five locomotives at Pakistan Locomotive Factory at Risalpur during the last five years at a cost of Rs 1760 million.
