NAUNDERO: The Senior Civil Judge and Assistant Sessions Judge, Ratodero, Muhammad Ali Ruk, paid a surprise visit to Rural Health Center, Naundero, and two schools near here on Tuesday out of which one was found closed and another converted into a cattle pan.

In Naundero RHC, he was informed that three lady doctors had not yet been posted back here who were transferred out of RHC by District Health Officer (DHO), without taking care of rural population’s woes. He immediately talked to DHO and expressed his dissatisfaction over his attitude. The judge told him how can you transfer lady doctors during their probation period by violating service rules.

He asked him to submit a detailed report to District & Sessions Judge, Larkana and him. He also directed him to transfer dispenser Altaf Chachar back to Naundero RHC from dispensary of Balai Tagar village which had not yet been handed over to DHO. The judge also directed RHC Medical Superintendent Dr. Imdad Ghanghro to send in writing all the requirements of 100-bed hospital to District & Sessions Judge, Larkana, without loss of time so that the healthcare facility could be made functional fully for the benefit of the poor needy people of downtrodden areas.

The judge then visited Government Middle School of Bhoonbhatpur village where he found the school converted into cattle pan as he found chained buffaloes and paddy straw kept inside the boundary walls of the school. Villagers Asghar Abro, Zaheer Abro and others told him that after your last visit, two teachers came here and school was made operational just for two days and since then it had remained nonfunctional reason of which is not known to them. He immediately asked the villagers to take out their cattle and paddy-straws and never bring them back as the school will open soon.

Then the judge reached Government Girls Primary School, Sahab Jo Goth Muhalla in Garhi Khuda Bux which was also found locked. Villager Bukhshal Bhutto complained before the judge that girls of the locality have been daringly deprived of their right to education as the school is closed since last five years. He told him that he gave his plot for construction of the education and in return he was assured a job but he was not given any low-paid job which is why school has been locked by the education department bosses despite the fact lot of jobs were distributed during the same period. The judge assured him that he will talk to the concerned authorities and the education will commence soon for the benefit of the girls.
