Siyal urges installation of tracking devices in motorcycles

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal on Monday chaired a high level meeting to finalize a plan to install tracking devices in all new and old motorcycles across Sindh Province.

The meeting was attended by home Secretary, Transport Secretary, Excise Secretary, Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), tracking companies and motorcycle manufacturer associations.

In the meeting, Siyal was briefed that the tracking companies and motorcycle manufacturer association representatives were ensuring their cooperation in the plan.

Siyal urged the Excise and Transport Departments Sindh with mutual cooperation should ensure installation of tracking devices and implementation of the process.

The home minister also instructed officials to ensure better performance in the institution by curbing crimes without any delay.

Secretary excise assured Siyal that the devices installation process would be completed without any delay. The secretary transport said that summary would soon be sent to Chief Minister regarding installation of special number plates for bikes.
