ISLAMABAD: Islamabad lifted trophy of 2nd National Junior Futsal Championship while Punjab (Lahore) and Balochistan (Quetta) got 2nd and 3rd position respectively here at Pak-Turk College, Islamabad.
Deputy Mayor, Islamabad, Chaudhry Rifat Javed was the chief guest and he gave away the prizes and trophies to the winning and runner up teams.
Director Education (Pakistan), Ture, Deputy Director, Beyram Urkmez, Principal Pak-Turk College, Zekeriya Ozsahin and Secretary, Pakistan Futsal Federation Adnan Malik and a large number of players were also present. Shayan of Islamabad team declared main of the tournament and Aitizaz was the best goalkeeper.
Five teams took part in the championship, Punjab (Lahore), Punjab (Multan), KPK(Peshawar), Balochistan (Quetta) and Islamabad. The championship was played on league basis.
Every team was played four matches each. Islamabad got first position and won four match against Punjab (Lahore) by 2-1, Punjab (Multan) by 10-0, KPK(Peshawar) by 1-0 , Balochistan (Quetta) by 6-1. Punjab (Lahore) obtained 2nd position and Balochistan (Quetta) got 3rd position.
