Survey (Karachi tops the list as the city perceived as the dirtiest of Pakistan)
ISLAMABAD:According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, Karachi tops the list as the city perceived as the dirtiest of Pakistan.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion, which city of Pakistan is the dirtiest?”
In response to this question, 25% said Karachi, 11% said Lahore, 7% said Peshawar, 5% said Faisalabad, 4% said Shikarpur, 3% each said Quetta, Sukkur, Multan and Sahiwal, 24% referred to numerous other cities of the country, 4% said none, while 8% did not know or did not wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1142 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during 24 January – 28 January, 2019.
The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
