Survey:(66% opine that all Muslim countries should boycott diplomatic relations with US and Israel)

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, two third Pakistanis (66%) opine that all Muslim countries should boycott diplomatic relations with US and Israel.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces, who claim to have heard/read something about Trump’s decision in regards to Jerusalem, was further asked, “What do you think should all Muslim countries collectively do after this decision taken by Donald Trump?” Responding to this, 66% said Muslim countries should boycott diplomatic relations with US and Israel, 32% said they should protest and 2% said others.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1148 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, December 10- December 16, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
