Two businessmen killed by dacoits in Mithi

Umerkot, Sindh: Two Hindu grain traders, real brothers, were shot dead by robbers over resistance in Mithi town of Tharparkar on Friday.

According to details, two dacoits riding a motorbike opened fire on two real brothers, Dileep Kumar and Chandar Maheshwari, when they offered resistance to robbers at grain market of Mithi. As a result, they suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Local traders closed their businesses and blocked main road to protest against the police.

They said the police reached late to the crime scene because most of cops of the district were deployed for security of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) rally in Mirpurkhas.

Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal sought an immediate and detailed inquiry from the SSP Umerkot in this regard. He also directed that steps should be taken to arrest culprits involved in the incident.

Meanwhile, IGP Khowaja also took notice of the incident and sought a report from the DIG Mirpurkhas.
