JHANG: Two cops were killed and five others injured in police van and tractor-trolley collision at Gujra Road in Jhang on late Tuesday night.
According to sources, a fast-moving tractor-trolley hit a police van at Gujra Road in Jhang area. As a result, two cops, Asad and Faqar Abbas – suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, while five others, Irfan, Ajaz, Zahoor, Naeem and driver, Aslam, sustained injuries.
The trolley driver managed to flee the scene; however, the police impounded the tractor-trolley and registering a case against the driver.
The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for autopsies and treatment, respectively.
