Weather in megacity to improve: PMD

KARACHI:Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday predicted that the scorching heat has started reducing in the metropolis and weather conditions will return back to normal from Monday.

According to Met office, the intense heat wave that has gripped Karachi for few days owing to tropic cyclone Vayu far off the western coast is likely to reduce now.

Temperature is likely to remain between 33 to 39-degree centigrade throughout the day whereas humidity is expected to be somewhere in the range of 60 to 70 per cent in the morning, Met office predicted.

PMD also predicted that breezes are likely to blow from Southeastern and Southwestern regions.

According to the MET office, weather across the country is expected to remain hot and dry. Dust and thundershower along with rain with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Bahawalpur, Multan, DG Khan, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Zhob divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Islamabad during the evening.
