QUETTA:,,, Police arrested more than 80 protesting teachers outside Balochistan Provincial Assembly over violation of the Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
According to detail, Community School Teachers wanted to stage a protest demonstration outside Balochistan Provincial Assembly today, but the police arrested more than 80 teachers over violation section 144 and detained them at Bijli Road Police Station, Quetta.
Later on, all the detainees were released. Moreover, Balochistan Community School Teachers Association staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club in support of their demands.
Talking to PPI, Syed Rafiullah, President, Balochistan Community School Teachers Association and Zahoor Magsi, General Secretary said that more than 900 community schools teachers were appointed during the year 2007, but their services had not yet been regularized despite lapse of considerable period of time. They called on authorities to regularize the services of community school teachers forthwith.
