LARKANA:,,, A woman named Zubeda Khatoon Jalbani, a resident of Ratodero, held a protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh Friday against highhandedness of a money-lender ASI Zahid Jalbani.
She complained before newsmen that she lended Rs150,000 from Zahid and had so far refunded him Rs300,000 after selling a plot, but he was still demanding Rs400,000 more which was highhandedness. She further alleged that yesterday Ratodero police on the instigation of Zahid raided her house in the morning and arrested his son Junaid and in the evening, they again took away her other son Zubair.
The protesting woman said she went to register a complaint at the Ratodero police station, but they refused to register her report and also did not help. She appealed to the higher police officers of Sindh to take notice of the issue and order release of his both sons and take stern action against the cop.
She further said SSP Larkana Masood Bangash had claimed that strict action would be taken against the menace of money-lending, but now his own cop had been caught doing un-Islamic and illegal money business, hence, he should take legal action against him and bring him to justice.
