LARKANA: An alleged bike snatcher was killed in an encounter near SP Laro and his brother was arrested, police claimed Monday.
SHO Gaheja police station Ghulam Mustafa Abro told media that Siddique Jalbani and Ali Jan Jalbani, both brothers and residents of village Allah Bux Jalbani, were standing at SP Laro locality with the intention to commit a crime, but seeing a police party, they tried to escape but were followed by the cops.
The SHO further said the accused started firing at the police which was retaliated, ensuing the encounter started. He said criminal Siddique was arrested in injured condition along with his accomplice and a bike.
He said the injured Siddique was being shifted from Madeji hospital to Larkana for treatment, but he died on the way. SHO further claimed that two pistols and a bike have been recovered from the accused.
Arrested accused Ali Jan Jalbani said that they had an old dispute with people of the Ghangro community and they were standing for them to return from the court hearing.
