SHIKARPUR: Two persons were killed and four others injured when a car hit a tree near Shikarpur in the wee hours of Thursday.
A fast-moving car was on its way when it went out of driver’s control and hit a tree on Indus Highway near Shikarpur. As a result, one person, Anayat Shah was killed on the spot while five people sustained injuries, two of them seriously.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital for treatment, where driver Rahib Malik succumbed to his injuries. Local police reached the site of the incident and have started investigation into the accident. The incident has created a mourning atmosphere in the native area of the victims.
