Mirpurkhas, Sindh: At least 12 shops were reduced to ashes when a cloth market caught fire here on the Eid day.
As per details, China Cloth Market in Khisakpura area of Mirpurkhas caught fire in morning of the Eid day which reduced at least 123 cloth shops to ashes causing losses of millions of rupees to traders. Due to encroachments in the market fire tenders took a lot of time to reach the site of fire on which shopkeepers protested.
Fire brigade officials says electricity short-circuit seems to the cause of fire, as Kunda connections were present in a large number in the market.
