KARACHI:As many as 158 more dengue fever cases were detected across the Karachi city in 24 hours, taking the reported cases toll to 4,721 since 1st January 2019.
Spokesman Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, while talking to PPI, said at least 166 new dengue fever cases were emerged throughout the Sindh province in a day, out of which 158 were surfaced in Karachi and eight in other districts.
In October, a total of 1,807 dengue positive cases reported across the province out of which 1,675 were confirmed from Karachi and 132 from other districts.
A total 16 people had been died from dengue fever in Karachi city this year so far.
In 2019, a total of 5,024 dengue cases have been detected in Sindh province so far out of which, 4,721 were happened in Karachi and 303 in other districts.
