KARACHI: Karachi police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 20 suspects, including seven street criminals in different search operations in the metropolis during the last 24 hours.
According to police sources, during search operations in Zaman town, Sirsyed, Soldier Bazaar, Docks, and Preedy areas, police arrested seven street criminals, Saleem Ahmed, Akbar, Bilal, Ghayasuddin, , Amir, Shahid and Ihtisham.
The police claimed to have recovered five TT Pistols with rounds, snatched mobile phones and drugs from their possession.
Docks and Sirsyed police apprehended two motorcycle lifters, Muhammad Ali, and Yaseen, and recovered two stolen motorcycles No- KÉH-1931 and NWS-3456 from them.
SITE police nab four absconders, Fazal Wahid, Zahid Ali, Sardar Ali, and Gul Khan.
During crackdown on drug peddlers, police carried out search operations in Jamshed Quarters, Mouchko, and SITE area, and detained seven drug sellers, Irfan, Huzefa, Shahid, Muhammad Nadeem, Riaz, Sarfaraz, and Saleem.
The police also recovered a hug quantity of hashish, mobile phones from them.
