210 corruption cases reviewed, 32 FIRs to be lodged

LARKANA:The Anti-Corruption Committee-II (ACE) meeting held under the Chairmanship of Commissioner, Larkana Division, Rafique Ahmed Buriro, finalized 32 cases for registration of FIR out of 210 cases after detailed discussion and scrutiny of the cases here on Friday.

Those who were found guilty include health department’s Abdul Rahman, Shahabuddin, Ratan Kumar, Vicky Kumar and Irfan Ali. Food Department’s Tufail Ahmed, Vishandas, Rafique Ahmed, Wajid Ali, Oshaque Ali and Abdul Ghaffar. Local Government’s Arbab Ali and Nazir Ahmed. Education Department’s Hyder Bux, Bashir Ahmed, Nisar Ahmed, Noshad Ali, Shakil Ahmed, Muhammad Mohsin, Muhammad Amir, Raashida, Zuhra, Maroof Ali, Gul Hasan, Zulfiqar Ali, Sultan Ahmed, Zulqarnain, Ahmed Ali and Nazir Ahmed. Police Department’s Qamardin, Asghar Ali, Allah Wadhayo, Zamir Ali, Karim Bux, Mazhar Ali, Amanullah, Nasim Ali, Noor Hassan, Hussain Ali, Deedar Ali, Asghar Ali and Munwar Ali. Revenue Department’s Ghulam Qadir, Ali Nawaz, Daim Ali, Moula Bux, Niaz Ali, Ghazi Khan, Owais Khan, Bashir Ahmed, Maqsood Ahmed, Ali Nawaz, Ihsan Ali, Nizamuddin, Tulha Khan, Syed Kabir Shah, Nisar Ahmed, Hidayatullah and Zaheeruddin.

Committee referred back 82 cases to relevant departments for departmental inquiry which include 33 to education department, 21 to police, 16 to revenue, 6 to local government, four to food department, one each of health and highways departments. 93 cases were closed due to unavailability of proofs which include 47 of education, 31 of police, 8 of revenue, 5 of local government and two of food department.

Commissioner Buriro directed the ACE officials not to spare any corrupt no matter how powerful or influential he/she may be. He said corruption must be rooted out at all costs adding it has become a cancer which must be eliminated from its root for which we all will have to play our part.
