25 faint after consuming sweet

NAUNDERO:As many as 25 villagers, including four women and 10 children, fainted after eating sweet in Samo Junejo and Mohammad Khan Buriro villages near Madeji on Saturday.

The fainted were rushed to Taluka Hospital Madeji for treatment. The affected men and women include Mohammad Waris, Nizakat, Sadaf Junejo, Sidra Perveen, Azra Khatoon, Soomal and Shakeela. The relatives of the affected patients told newsmen that their boys had gone to Khairpur on sight seeing visit and brought sweets which were eaten by the family members and other relatives due to which they fell unconscious.

Dr Sham Lal said that all the patients were out of danger as they reached here timely. He said few patients had been admitted for further treatment.

Meanwhile, police found the body of an elder unknown person near Faqirpur bypass in Madeji. The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities. Later, it was handed over to Edhi Center.

A five-year child Sagar Mangi died as he fell into a pond in village Tarai near Madeji. His parents said that he went out for playing in the street and they didn’t know how he fell into the pond.
