KARACHI: Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabric, the apparel fabrics and accessories industry’s largest trade fair, took place from 14-16 March 2018 in Shanghai, China, co-located with Yarn Expo and Intertextile Shanghai Home Spring Edition. A denim display zone also featured in 2018 beyond denim to provide trend inspiration to the industry.
There were 3,386 exhibitors from 22 countries and 70,000-plus trade buyers from 100-plus countries & regions participated in March 2018 show. The country and region pavilions and zones were from France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Italy, Pakistan, Taiwan and Turkey.
Yarn expo was also held alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Spring 2018. There were 435 exhibitors from 10 plus countries and more than 22,000 visitors from 94 countries & regions and 21 exhibitors from Pakistan participated in Yarn Expo 2018 show.

Textile, Blinks International, Ever Green Textile, Fazal Cloth, Fabcot International, Global Textile, Hantex Spinning, Indus Dyeing, I & N International, Hussain Mills, Nadeem Textile, Nagina Cotton, Nisar Spinning, Opulent International, Reliance Weaving, Salman Agencies, Sardar Corporation, Umar Spinning, World Textile Trading, Xiamen Naseem Trade. Exhibitors remain optimistic about China market despite economic situation.
Arshad Ali from Sapphire Denim said, “Overall, fair was good for us and we would like to continue our participation.” Nadeem Akhtar from Hussain Mills, “We are very much satisfied with the results of the fair. Throughout the fair, visitors flow was good. We are hoping to have a bucket full of orders.” The next Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics & Yarn Expo Autumn Edition will be held from 27-29 September, 2018. Another Apparel/Fabric fair Texworld/Apparel Sourcing USA will be held from 23-25 July, 2018, Texworld/Apparel Sourcing Paris will be held from 17-20 September, 2018. Africa Sourcing &Fashion Week will be held from 1-4 October 2018 and ATF South Africa will be held from 20-22 November, 2018.
