44 schools in Larkana giving education under open sky

LARKANA: Children of over 44 schools in NA-200 Larkana are getting education under open sky, 86 schools are without boundary walls, 136 schools are without washrooms and 167 schools have no electricity and other basic facilities including furniture.

This was disclosed in a moot held at Miro Khan under the auspices of Sindh Education Alliance and Sindh United Party here on Wednesday. It is the same constituency from where PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had announced to contest upcoming general election. Speakers included Mahmood Bhutto SUP President, Junaid Dahar, Jamil Gad, Siraj Kalhoro and others.

They said that if people wanted change, then they will have to cast their votes with full consideration because vote had the power to bring change to their lives. They said that residents will have to first understand what were their rights and how to obtain them, then they could strive for securing them through vote. The speakers said that protests were held but demands were never accepted for these basic rights for which the people had to bring change.

They said that education is backbone of a nation’s upbringing but here education had been ruined along with other institutions in which our rulers were involved, they added. These speakers further said that where the famous slogan of Roti, Kapra aur Makan had gone adding PPP had destroyed our cities and towns.
