763 precious mobile recovered in raid

LARKANA:Pakistan Customs Anti-Smuggling Squad, Larkana Region, in a surprise raid on Ratodero-Shahdadkot Road recovered as many as 763 costly foreign manufactured mobile phones while checking two cars.

The cars were going to Karachi. The cellular phones were hidden in two large boxes. Incharge Inspector Aziz Ahmed Katpar told media here on Saturday that a very close checking had been launched for every suspected vehicle on all roads.

He said the value of the impounded mobile phones is approximately Rs 6.2 million in the open market. He said Customs check posts had been established on all roads including Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Dadu, Larkana, Shahdadkot and Ratodero and every vehicle was being searched to find the smuggled material.

He said four accused had been arrested which include Altaf Ali Lashari, Asghar Ali, Khan Mohammad Pathan and Ali Hassan and an FIR had also been registered against them.
