812 polio teams for next round in Larkana

LARKANA: As many as 812 teams have been formed by District Health Officials here on Tuesday to administer anti-polio drops to the under-5 children of entire Larkana district during campaign which will kick off from September 24 to 27, 2018.

It was decided in the meeting presided over by the newly posted Deputy Commissioner (DC), Mohammad Noman Siddique, held at Darbar Hall.

Out of these 812 teams, 679 will be mobile teams, 82 fixed point teams and 51 transit point teams which will perform their duties during the Eradicate Polio drive. These teams will visit every city, town, village, hospital, bus stands, bazaars and common places and find kids up to 5-years to administer them anti-polio drops.

The DC has directed police to provide maximum security to the polio teams so that they could be able to discharge their national duties efficiently without fear. He urged parents to ensure that their children have been administered anti-polio drops and simultaneously directed the health officials to visit every point of the district to ensure that no sibling is left behind.

The DC warned that if anyone found negligent in discharge this national duty he/she will be proceeded against strictly according to the law.
