Advisor condemns manhandling of media workers in Tharparkar

Karachi:Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information, Law and Anti-Corruption, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has slammed an incident of manhandling of media persons by PTI worker in Tharparkar and strongly condemned them for branding independent media persons as PPP agents.

PTI had forgotten the fact that media is the fourth pillar of the state, he said talking to media persons at media corner of Sindh Assembly on Friday

Advisor also condemned PTI for closing Chachro Town on the arrival of Prime Minister. He further said that those who had been making tall claims to provide jobs to people are now snatching livelihood from them. He said that those who opposed protocols blocked a whole city which is violation of human rights.

He added that after seven months, our Prime Minister has felt the pain of people of Thar. Why did not Prime Minister remember the people of Thar when drought emergency was declared in Tharparkar district? He said that prime minister and PTI government did nothing for the people of Thar. He said that five months back Governor Sindh had made announcement for Thar and people were awaiting implementation of promises made with them.

He said PTI only makes promises but doesn’t fulfill it. He said that foreign minister had contested elections from Thar. Our foreign minister gifted wheat to Afghanistan but done nothing for the relief of people of drought-hit Thar in their hard time.

He said that finance minister is not ready to answer the reason for increase in dollar rate , while federal board of revenue has failed to collect Rs250 billion.

To a question, he said that federal government has done nothing for Karachi, adding that Green Line rapid bus project has not been completed up to now.

Replying to question on action against banned outfits, Barrister Murtaza Wahab thanked media for the cooperating with Sindh government and added that 52 facilities of JuD and FIF , while 04 of JeM have already been taken over by Sindh government. He said that Sindh government will manage these facilities.
