KARACHI:Alleged negligence of doctors claimed the life of a 22-year old girl in Sindh Government Korangi Hospital on Thursday.
According to hospital sources, 22-year Asmat was brought to Korangi Hospital with pain in teeth, where she died during treatment due to alleged negligence of doctors.
The family of deceased girl staged a protest demonstration and alleged that the doctors’ negligence claimed life of girl. They said they wanted postmortem of the deceased to know the cause of her death but doctors refused to perform postmortem.
Local police rushed to the spot and lodged complaint against doctors.
Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS), Sindh Government Korangi Hospital, Dr Khuram said inquiry of the incident has already been started while the sample of injection given to the deceased will be sent for chemical examination.
DSP Khalid Javed said probe has already been started and the body will be moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.
