Another SHC judge will not join next hearing of Durrani plea

KARACHI:Another judge of Sindh High Court (SHC) bench on Tuesday said that he would not join next hearing of bail plea of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, Agha Masihuddin and Gulzar Ahmed in a corruption case of Rs1.4 billion.

A reconstituted bench of SHC comprising Justice Muhammad Saleem Jaiser heard the bail plea of Durrani and others today.

However, the matter for constituting a new bench has been forwarded to Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa. It is also important to mention here that Justice KK Agha of SHC had also refused to hear the bail plea of Durrani and others.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had started an investigation against Durrani for having assets beyond his income. He was arrested by NAB’s Karachi team from a hotel in Islamabad this year. He is currently in the custody of NAB in a graft case.
