ANP striving to protect ‘selected’ rulers: Wasay

QUETTA: MNA Moulana Abdul Wasay, Ameer, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Balochistan, has said that Awami National Party (ANP) was striving to protect selected rulers for personal interests contrary to the philosophy of its founding leaders.

Talking to media here on Saturday, he said that ANP played a role to overthrow the government of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri in 2018. He added that in the sight of ANP overthrowing the government of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri was democratic while it was undemocratic to overthrow the government of Jam Kamal Khan.

He said that JUI (F) would oppose every unconstitutional step that might jeopardise democracy and constitution. He remarked that Jam Kamal Khan would not be the Chief Minister of Balochistan after October 20, adding that no-confidence-motion was an ornament of democracy.

He said that development funds were being released to unelected persons for executing development projects in the constituencies of opposition members of Balochistan Provincial Assembly, but ANP remained silent, adding that ANP played a role to overthrow the government of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, but the move of disgruntled members of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) against Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan was being regarded as unconstitutional. He said that no-confidence-move would be tabled on October 20, 2021.
