KARACHI:Anti-encroachment is in full swing in Karachi after Supreme Court orders and hundreds of illegal shops were razed in the Light House area on Monday.
Light House market of old clothes known as Lunda Bazaar and adjoining paper market were razed during anti-encroachment drive.
Shop owners said they had been doing business in these markets for more than 50 years and they were paying K.M.C challan of rent on time. They said the notices were given to them yesterday. They demanded alternate place for their business and compensation.
