KARACHI:Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) has written letters to the head of the states of Zimbabwe and Liberia protesting incidents of attacks on journalists and media houses around the world.
In a statement on Tuesday, PPF said it had sent a letter to Emmerson Mnangagwa, President of Zimbabwe, expressing concern over the threat and verbal assault on TellZim staff and called on the law enforcement agencies and Zimbabwe government to thoroughly investigate the matter and stop targeting journalists for doing their job.
PPF has also sent a letter to George Weah, President of Liberia and expressed concern over the attack on Roots FM radio station on January 31st, 2019. PPF has called on the Liberian authorities to immediately investigate the matter and hold those responsible behind this act.
