Balochistan cabinet approves Rs1.6bn micro-financing program

QUETTA:Balochistan provincial cabinet in its meeting held on Thursday with Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan in the chair approved a Micro Financing Program at the cost of Rs1.6 billion rupees under Akhuwat Foundation.

Dr.Muhammad Amjad, Chairman, Akhuwat Foundation briefed the cabinet about providing interest-free business loans in Balochistan under self-employment scheme.

The cabinet approved release of additional fund for timely completion on under construction Balochistan Residential College, Zhob and Bus Adda Zhob.

It decided to blacklist those contractors found involved in delaying development schemes and carrying out substandard work.

The cabinet also decided to take action against Executive Engineers making advance payment to the contractors contrary to codal formalities.

Approval for correcting the estimated cost of Rakhni-Baiker road was also accorded. The cabinet directed Communication and Works Department to immediately start construction of the important inter-provincial road of the province.
