Belt and Road initiative termed beneficial for Pakistan

KARACHI:Former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair has said that Chinese government’s Belt and Road initiative under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is in the larger interest of our country, therefore, it has become very necessary for us to complete all CPEC projects here as soon as possible in order to achieve our goals for economic development and prosperity.

This he stated while addressing the first Enowate International Business Leadership and Belt and Road Initiative conference as chief guest at a local which was organized by Corporate PR Company EWNOWATE. The conference was addressed by prominent trade and industry people as well as diplomats of Malaysia, Thailand, Qatar, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Investment opportunities in Pakistan, international trade and Chinese government Belt and Road initiative was the theme of this conferences.

Senior Vice President, Federation of Chamber of Commerce and industry Pakistan (FPCCI) Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, former MNA, Farooq Sattar and Veteran businessmen Zubair Tufail, Sardar Shoukat Popalzai, Zafar Paracha, Rizwan Adhia, Farooq Afzal, Fayyaz Ilyas, Pervez Madraswala, Kaleem Farooqi, Noman Tabani and Haji Ghulam Rafique Pardesi addressed to the conference.

Speaking on this occasion, Zubair said that he expressed his concern over the news about under progress CPEC projects and asked the government to complete these projects on top priority basis transparently, keeping in view of national interest. At the end of conference, shields were presented to Saad Nazir, Talha Farooqui, Shafiq Akbar, Engr. Mohib Haroon, Asif Inam and Shamim Firpo in recognition of their services rendered for the development of business activities in the country.
