QUETTA: Balochistan assembly referred Public Private Partnership bill 2018 to concerned House committee after it was introduced in the House by Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.
Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo introduced Balochistan Public Private Partnership bill 2018 in the House as he also holds portfolio of minister for Planning and Development.
Members of the House wanted the bill to be referred to House committee for scrutiny while treasury benches want it should b e exempted from requirement s of provincial assembly Rules of procedure and conduct of Business 1974. When put to vote there was equal opinion i.e eleven members each from both treasury and opposition.
Chief Minister requested the House to exempt the bill form requirements of Provincial assembly procedures and conduct of business 1974 as it was very important bill but House insisted for its reference to Standing Committee.
Speaker Rules that under Rule 55 the bill is referred to House committee with a direction to complete its scrutiny before next session.
Later she prorogued the House.
