LARKANA:A 12-year-old boy Abdul Qadeer Umrani fell in a sewerage well in village Nabi Dad Umrani and died on Wednesday.
His father Ali Murad Umrani told newsmen that his son was playing outside when he fell in a sewerage disposal well and died. He said some villagers recovered his son and rushed him to Chandka Medical College Hospital but he could not survive despite doctors efforts to save his precious life.
After his death his parents and other relatives held a protest demonstration outside Children Hospital against district administration and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) authorities. They chanted slogans against highhandedness of PHED engineers and former Larkana Deputy Commissioner who both forcibly established huge sewage disposals in their village, they alleged.
Shoukat, Hidayat, Baghul Begum Umrani, Barkat and other men and women were cursing both officers while weeping. They alleged that their village was included in Larkana but despite this fact these officers forcibly established huge contaminated wells. They demanded justice.
