QUETTA: Through Poverty Score Card poverty survey was completed in Union Council Sabotgan of Tehsil Mashkel district Washuk under Balochistan Rural Support Programme in collaboration with European Union financial assistance.
This was stated by BRSP Spokesperson Monday.
Spokesperson added that a symposium was arranged on occasion of issuance of completion certificate at Field Unit Mashkel. Member District council Zahid Ali Reki, Vice chairman Union Council Karim Jan and others attended. They discussed survey. BRSP Field Unit Incharge Faisla Reki briefed participants on Poverty Survey. He said survey in Union Council Sabotgan has been completed. It would help us which family at what level of poverty and how their standing of living can be improved.
He said poor, destitute and disabled people would be worked for five years under BRSP Community Empowerment Programme and to raise their living community level work would be done. To develop people’s abilities they would be made to stand on their feet.
Zahid Ali Reki and Karim Jan appreciated BRSP efforts for minimizing poverty. They said BRSP is the only institution in Balochistan which organizes family at the community level so that awareness is created among the people and they are able to resolve their problems at their own.
At the end they released survey completion certificate and said that they would continue to cooperate with BRSP.
