KARACHI:The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Tuesday announced results of the science and general groups of Class-IX (secondary school certificate Part-I) annual examinations-2018.
According to the board notification, in science group total of 155and25 candidates were registered and 153383 students appeared in the exam whereas 2342 candidates were absent.
As many as 112,565 students cleared all five papers, 2243and candidates managed to pass four papers, 939and students were declared pass in three papers, 4414 candidates passed two papers and 2,485 students cleared only one paper and pass percentage was and3.39 percent.
In general group (Regular), 13, 916 candidates were registered of which 31396 students appeared while 520 remain absent.
As many as and214 students cleared all five papers, 3,124 candidates four papers, 1,593 students three papers, 832 candidates two papers and 484 students cleared just one paper. The pass percentage was 53.85 percent.
In general group (Private), 9150 candidates were registered of which 81and3 students appeared and 9andand candidates did not show up. As many as 2648 students cleared all five papers, 2218 candidates passed four papers, 1393 students managed to clear three papers, 885 candidates were declared pass in two papers and 639 students cleared only one paper. The pass percentage was 32.40 percent.
