Buzdar visits FM95 Punjab, opens exhibition

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar visited the FM95 Punjab Rung radio at PILAC and received live calls from the listeners who were pleasantly surprised to hear the chief minister live.

They asked the CM to share his favourite couplet and appreciated a direct dialogue with the CM. They pointed out that Usman Buzdar was the first chief minister to adopt a public approach to liaise with the people. The CM divulged that the non-commercial TV would also start transmissions soon. Culture Minister Khayal Ahmed Kastro, secretary information, DG PILAC and DGPR were also present.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar visited various sections of the provincial metropolis without protocol to review the situation of cleanliness. He drew his vehicle sans staff officer, security officer and official photographer and cameraman.

The CM expressed displeasure over the poor cleanliness situation in some areas and directed the LWMC to improve the sanitation arrangements adding that the cleanliness plan should be daily monitored. No compromise would be made in this regard as I have been receiving complaints about the situation of cleanliness; he said and reiterated that the provision of a clean environment to the citizens is the responsibility of the government.

CM opens fair

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated a calligraphic exhibition held in connection with Ashra Shan-e-Rahmatul-Lil-Alameen at PILAC to showcase the calligraphic talent of Pakistani and Iranian artists till 30-Rabiul Awal. He also inaugurated the mural painting of famous artist Aslam Kamal. An artist presented a picture of a Pakistan map in which Kalma-e-Tayyaba was written 1443 times. Another artist presented the uniquely-made picture to Usman Buzdar.

The CM said the government was promoting young artists to support the art of calligraphy in society. Culture Minister Khayal Ahmed Kastro, information secretary, DG PILAC and DGPR were also present.
