ChildLife Emergency Room Sukkur saves 4500 lives

KARACHI:ChildLife Emergency Room, Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Hospital, Sukkur has so far treated 4500 patients since its soft launch.

Children Emergency Room is a 40-bedded facility, operating 24/7 and providing free-of-cost emergency services to the residents of Sukkur and its adjoining areas including Rohri, Panoakil, Khairpur, Saleh Pat and Shikarpur.

Formal inauguration of ChildLife Emergency Room, Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Hospital, Sukkur which was scheduled on 16th March, has been postponed due to precautionary measures taken by Sindh Government to fight against Corona virus pandemic.

Meanwhile, Public Private Partnership is doing wonders for Pakistani children as ChildLife is saving lives of around 1 million children every year in Sindh and Balochistan while around 3 million children have been treated up till now.

The Children Emergency Rooms being operated under Public Private Partnership are: Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital, Karachi; National Institute of Child Health, Karachi; Sindh Government Hospital Korangi-5; Lyari General Hospital, Karachi; Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi; People Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah; Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana and tertiary care Civil hospital in Sukkur, Hyderabad and Quetta.
