CHK, SMBB Trauma Centre allocate 75 beds to cater any emergency

KARACHI: In connection of Pakistan Super League (PSL) final match, the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Accident Emergency & Trauma Center have allocated 75 beds to cater any emergency like situation.

As many as 50 beds have been allocated in the SMBB Trauma Centre while 25 in the CHK.

A special contingency plan has been chalked for any possible emergency like situation.

All kind of life-saving medicines are available in health facilities while presence of doctors, paramedical staff and nurses would also be ensured.

While talking to PPI, Medical superintendent, CHK, Dr Mohammad Taufiq, said in connection of PSL final math scheduled on March 25,2018 at National Stadium, a special contingency plan has been devised.

He informed that OT complex, emergency, pharmacy and other trauma related departments of Civil Hospital and SMBB Trauma Centre will remain opened March 25, round the clock.

Earlier, Home Department Government of Sindh directed the Secretary Health Sindh to make necessary arrangements in major hospitals of the megacity to cater any eventuality during Pakistan Super League (PSL) final match.

The heads of major hospitals including Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC), Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Accident, Emergency & Trauma Center, Aga Khan Hospital and Liaquat National Hospital Karachi have been directed to make necessary arrangements well in time to cater any possible eventuality/emergency during the PSL final match.
