(CITY): Balochistan will solve the problems of transporters

ISLAMABAD:,,, Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai, Provincial Secretary Transport has said the provincial government will solve the problems of transporters along with improving transport sector in the province. He said it is the responsibility of government to provide latest facilities to the people.

These views were expressed by him while chairing a meeting held here on Friday in connection with the strike call of Muttahida Local Bus Association.

Meeting was attended by Secretary Provincial Transport Authority, Zafar Baloch, Secretary, Regional Transport Authority Quetta Division, Abdul Hameed Zehri, Superintendent, RTA, Hameedullah Muhammad Hasni, General Secretary, Muttahida Local Bus Association, Shair Ahmed Baloch, Chairman, Muhammad Hanif Shahwani, President, Haji Ishaq Bazai and other office bearers of Muttahida Local Bus Association. Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai, Provincial Secretary Transport assured office bearers of Muttahida Local Bus Association that their grievances would be addressed.

On assurance, office bearers of Muttahida Local Bus Association called off their strike of November 25. Meanwhile, Spokesperson of provincial government Liaquat Shahwani said that Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has taken up the issue of low gas pressure in Quetta and other areas of the province with Federal Government.

He said the incumbent provincial government is cognizant of the hardships being faced by the people owing to low gas pressure. He said that Ziarat is a picnic resort where tourist come and majority of the people of Ziarat are associated with tourism for their livelihood, but people of Ziarat are also facing low gas pressure. He said in order to increase pressure of gas, provincial government is in close contact with the Federal Government. He said the project of laying 8 inch gas pipeline on either side of Sariab Road has been initiated the completion of which will help resolve the issue of low gas pressure in Quetta.
