City: (four more Pakistani citizens were martyred and nineteen others were injured )

Sialkot: As many as four more Pakistani citizens were martyred and nineteen others were injured seriously during the unprovoked intensified heavy mortar shelling by Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) on Sialkot border villages in Phookaliyaan-Bajwat, Chaprar, Sucheetgarh, Harpal, Bajra Garhi, Charwah and Zafarwal-Shakargarh Sectors of Sialkot Working Boundary here on Saturday.

There was no let up in three-day long Indian hostilities on Sialkot border villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary.

Indian BSF mortar shelling remained continued for the third consecutive day today (Saturday) and there was no let up in this Indian firing here as the Indian BSF continued killing the innocent Pakistanis by targeting civilian population in Sialkot border villages here.

The Punjab Rangers retaliated effectively in befitting manners to the enemy making the Indian guns silent, said the senior officials of the Punjab Rangers.

According to the local senior officials of the Punjab Rangers, the several heavy mortar shells, fired by the Indian BSF badly hit the houses, killing four persons including Najaf Batool (27) wife of Nazar Shah and her minor son Ali Haider (3 years old) in village Pandhiyaali-Patoli (Bajwat Sector), Mohammad Bashir (70) son of Allah Rakha in village Chaprar and Mohammad Shabir (55) son of Maahi in village Panjwal (Phookaliyaan-Bajwat) Sector here today.

The Indian mortar shells also injured seriously as many as nineteen persons namely Haider Shah(22) son of Nadir Shah in village Pandoli-Bajwat, Mohammad Rafaqat (14) son of Mohammad Tufail, Naveed Anwar (32) son of Mohammad Anwar in village Bajwat, Rukhsana Bibi (36) wife of Shamas, Mehran Bibi (75) wife of Mohammad Hanif , Mohammad Mushtaq (45) son of Bashir Ahmed in village Thool Malaana, Sakhawat Ali (50), Mafia (10) daughter of Rehmat Ali , Tayyaba Bibi (26) wife of Ghulam Ali in village Bajwat, Sadique Khatana (62) in village Diyaawara-Bajwat, Mohammad Ali son of Shadi Khan in village Chaprar, Inayat Ullah son of Bashir Ahmed in village Rangpur Jattan-Chaprar , Sughra Bibi(50) wife of Mohammad Shabir in village Bajwal-Phookaliyaan, Zainab Bibi (45) wife of Nazir Hussain, Shumaila Bibi(44) in village Bhatoli-Bajwat and Ghulam Sarwar (46) son of Mohammad Shafi in village Diyaawara-Bajwat.

The red-alerted rescuers of Rescue 1122 Sialkot shifted the injured to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Sialkot Cantt here. The condition of six injured was stated to be critical there.

Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Dr. Farrukh Naveed told that the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) continued unprovoked intensified heavy mortar shelling Sialkot border villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary here almost whole of the last night (the night between Friday and Saturday) and the whole of today (Saturday), intermittently here.

DC said that the Indian BSF also continued targeting the civilian population in Sialkot border villages for the third consecutive day. Indian shells also killed several buffaloes, cows, donkeys and goats, besides, badly damaging the dozens of the houses there as well.

Sialkot DC added that the people from most of the Sialkot border villages have already been shifted to the safer places in Sialkot city and its surroundings as well.

The Indian shelling victims Najaf Batool, her minor son Ali Haider, Mohammad Bashir and Mohammad Shabir were today laid to rest in their native graveyards here.

Local MNA Ch. Armughan Subhani and Chairperson Sialkot District Council Hina Arshad Warraich visited the Sialkot CMH here today. They inquired about the health of the injured, the victims of Indian shelling. They also expressed complete solidarity with the grieved families of the Indian shelling victims.

They also strongly condemned the Indian brutality and war aggression and killing the innocent Pakistanis by targeting the civilian population in Sialkot border villages here.
