City (Pak Pharma and Healthcare exhibition underway in Lahore)

Lahore:A three-day Pak Pharma and Healthcare exhibition began at the Expo Center in Lahore aimed to promote pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan.

The exhibition is held under the aegis of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association.

The Governor of the Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar opened it.

The governor visited the various stalls in the exhibition and reviewed the ingenuously-made medicines and healthcare accessories and medical equipment displayed there.

The governor took keen interest in the displayed items and admired the quality of the products.

Later, talking to the newsmen, He said the government is solving the problems being faced by the pharmaceutical industry. He said that at present the current exports of the pharmaceutical sector is three hundred billion dollars

He said the Pakistani pharmaceutical exports will be expanded up to two billion dollars during the next three years.

The governor said the government is taking all possible measures for the eradication of hepatitis in the country which is a big challenge.
