Cleanliness in Karachi ordered

Karachi:Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has asked deputy commissioners to keep their district clean.

He issued this instruction during a review meeting of the SSWMB (Sindh Solid Waste Management Board), which was attended by the Secretary Services /SGC and AD Naved Shaikh, Commissioner Karachi Dr. Iftikhar Shalwani, M.D. SSWMB Dr. A.D. Sanjani, Ishaq Maha- Special Secretary Local Government and all six deputy commissioners of Karachi.

The Chief Secretary advised the Secretary Services to provide relevant staff to SSWMB, in consultation with the M.D. SSWMB.

He also asked the Commissioner Karachi to monitor the cleanliness including garbage disposal task of Karachi, ensuring that each and every district could be clean properly.

Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah also desired that commissioner and deputy commissioners should ascertain that human resources and machinery and equipment is being properly utilized under the ages of SSWMB, and to help the SSWMB, if need be. He maintained that he will personally monitor the activities of SSWMB.
