CM Punjab inaugurates Sports Complex in Kasur

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Shehbaz Sharif Sports Complex in Kasur Thursday.

He inspected various sections and talked to the hockey players. Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that hockey, cricket stadiums and Kabaddi ground have been established and indoor and outdoor games have also been arranged in this complex. Rs.54 crore have been spent on state-of-the-art sports complex set up on an area of 218 Kanal.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, he said that Astroturf has been laid in the hockey ground and every citizen of Kasur district can benefit from this facility. He said that 50 gymnasiums have been completed in the province and 21 e-libraries have also been established where 150 thousand books are available online. He said that seven hockey stadiums have been set up in as many districts and sports projects have been completed with 22 billion rupees. Provincial Minister Shaikh Allauddin, assembly members and a large number of the people were present on the occasion.
