ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif chaired a meeting in Lahore on Wednesday to discuss the issue of payments to sugarcane farmers.
He directed the concerned officials to play an effective role for provision of rights to sugarcane farmers. The Chief Minister said that sugar mills owners who purchase sugarcane at lower rates will be arrested.
Shahbaz Sharif said action will be taken against the concerned administration, if any complaint is received.
