QUETTA:Agricultural, industrial and civic interests of Lasbella will be ensured safeguarded at all costs, said Commissioner Kalat Division, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Kakar.
Talking to a delegation of agriculturists that called on him under the leadership of Babu Faiz Sheikh and Zafar Jamote, he said a mechanism would be chalked out to end theft of water from Lasbella Canal for good and to ensure supply of water to agriculture and industrial zones of Hub.
Zamindar Action Committee pointed out to Commissioner Kalat Division and Deputy Commissioner, Lasbella that only 17% water was being supplied to agriculturist out of 104 cusec water received from Hub Dam through the Lasbella canal.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Lasbella, Shabbir Mengal, Col Jamshed, SSP Lasbella Agha Ramzan, ASP Naveed Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Farhan Saleem Ronja, Assistant Commissioner, Hub Captain Mehrullah Badini, Tehsildar Bashir Mundra and Assistant Director P and D Muhammad Sadiq were also present.
