Customs seizes foreign goods worth millions of rupees

SURAB: Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claimed to have seized foreign goods worth millions of rupees in two different operations conducted in Surab and Manikhuwa areas of the province on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the media cell of Collectorate of Customs, Balochistan, staff of Collectorate of Customs posted at Gider check post on Quetta-Panjgur road seized foreign gears, including toppies, biscuits and tyres of different sizes from a passenger bus in an operation conducted at Customs’ check post Surab.

Similarly, foreign gears including tobacco, foreign clothes and flavors, which were to be smuggled to the interior of the country, were impounded from a passenger coach and Mazada by the staff of Collectorate of Customs, Balochistan in an operation conducted at Manikhuwa check post of Collectorate of Customs.

Operations were conducted by the staff of Collectorate of Customs, Balochistan under the supervision of Deputy Collector, Akbar Jan, Assistant Collector, Yousaf Marri and Inspector Ahmed Nawaz Zehriin compliance with the directives of Collector Customs, Balochistan, Irfan Javed and Additional Collector, Collectorate of Customs, Balochistan, Umer Shafiq.
